Meet Our Team

  • Abigail Dew

    DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

I believe that community and relationships are the most important factor of a fulfilling life. When creating Abby Dew For You, my goal was to support people with disabilities in forming meaningful relationships with peers and having purposeful roles in the community. In my free time, I enjoy reading, biking, gardening, hiking, yoga and baking. I have two dogs and two cats. I love puzzles, movies, games, crafts, naps and spending time with my friends.

  • Talia Sweeney

    ASSISTANT PROGRAM MANAGER

I began working with the disability community around 4 years ago when I was a student at Castle View High School, and I quickly realized that this was something I was passionate about. Since then, I have worked with individuals with disabilities ranging from ages 8 to 45 and I truly believe that I have the best job in the world! I have so much gratitude for the Dew Crew and I am so looking forward to getting to know everyone, while making amazing memories and learning valuable lessons along the way! Some of my favorite things to do outside of work include reading, hiking, going to concerts, practicing yoga, and smiling and laughing as much as possible! I am beyond excited for the year ahead.

  • Rene Cook

    BUSINESS MANAGER

As a parent and full-time caregiver to a young adult with special needs, I am aware of the vast challenges that families face daily. I volunteer as a disability advocate in my community, supporting families to find additional resources, grants, activities and social groups for their children.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes lots of trips to Illinois to see my daughter in college, traveling, taking cooking classes, exploring any coffee shop and reading with my book club.

I am excited to be a part of the Abby Dew team and hope that I can assist your family with any needs.

  • Annette Mitskevich

    MENTOR

After my husband and I moved to Colorado from overseas in 1999 and we had our two boys, I began my career with elementary special needs kiddos in the school district. The job was so challenging yet so rewarding! I loved all 13 yrs.! Then a new passion was found with the Dew Crew because I was given the gift of seeing what amazing young adults my little kiddos can become! When not hanging with the Crew, and our own boys aren't at home, I love to walk, hike, work out, cook international foods, and travel, when given the chance!

  • Ashland Kruse

    MENTOR

Ashland Kruse, a 2022 graduate of Legend High School is an aspiring special education professional with a deep passion for helping children with disabilities. Throughout high school and beyond, Ashland dedicated time to working with kids in various educational settings, where the experience reinforced a commitment to pursue a career in special education. This path is not only a professional goal, but also a personal mission, driven by a strong desire to make a positive impact in the lives of children who face unique challenges. Before transitioning to her role at Abby Dew, Ashland worked in a male dominated field where she learned the values of independence, resilience, and adaptability skills that continue to shape her approach to work and life. These formative experiences have helped Ashland develop a well-rounded perspective and a passion for advocating for others, particularly in education and support services. Outside of work, Ashland is a lover of the outdoors. Hiking, fishing, and camping are some of her favorite ways to recharge and connect with nature. Whether it’s navigating a rugged trail or casting a line into a quiet stream, she finds peace and inspiration in the great outdoors. When she’s not outside, you can often find her curled up with a good book or enjoying a cozy evening with her dog, Dug, while re-watching The Office for the umpteenth time. Looking ahead, Ashland is eager to further her education in special education, seeking to expand her knowledge and skills to better support children with disabilities. Her combination of hands-on experience, passion for learning, and dedication to making a difference sets her apart as a future leader in the field.
